GROUP 1:
Born in the 1974, the Group 1 is the first and the oldest activist group of Amnesty International in Italy. Based in Rome, their territory cover a great area of the city, and the main role it's to make awareness, fundrising and activism for human rights and the Amnesty campaigns. Through a wide variety of events, including education in schools, the group share the values and the activities of the movement.  As a leader, my goal was to reaffirm their presence in the area, transforming the group into a well-known and structured figure, in order to be able to increase their capabilities and become a point of reference.

TASK FORCE OBSERVERS:
From a project implemented in Italy by the Italian Section of Amnesty International, their role consist to monitor directly in the ground, the respect of the International Right by the State during the high-risk protests. The material taken in first person, useful to study law enforcement behavior, is collected for research and used to realize reports of the human rights status in the country. During this years moving in all of Italy, we observed cases of violations that were reported globally, and an increase of cases of civil disobedience in response of the protest restrictions.

LATIN AMERICA COORDINATION:
Specialized in this area of the world, at the national level this is the reference team of the Italian Section of Amnesty International regarding the Latin America continent. Their main task as coordinators, is to receive first hand information from the regional offices based abroad, and help the Italian office to launch actions or international campaigns in the country, in coordination with all the movement. Their expertise in combination with a national and international network, make this team a point of reference also outside of the movement, giving all the needed support in line with the Amnesty policy.
